How it started
We successfully Kickstarted in March of 2019. Back then our product started with a physical wood and leather book with QR codes and questions on the inside. It was a physical book first approach. They were awesome and crazy unique, but brutally difficult to make! It was our single product, and people really loved them.
We are kind of just huge audio nerds, with a deep history of working together on big projects. Our skillsets run deep in engineering and product design and we put our energy together to create something new which felt personally important to us.
How it’s going
We now take a digital first approach and print a book of transcriptions after. It's way cooler and more personalized than the old days, but the old days are still pretty cool. Our team is located in Southern Utah. We develop all of the technology in house, owing to many years working together in the ed tech space (our former business was Campusbookrentals.com where we pioneered the textbook rental space and made it to #17 on the Inc. 500).
